
A pair of traffic crashes Thursday in south central Missouri resulted in moderate injuries to one driver and minor injuries to another, according the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Sixty-six-year-old Primo L. Montesi suffered moderate injuries when his truck crashed on Howell County Road 7830, a quarter mile east of Caulfield.
Montesi’s truck traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence, ejecting him from the vehicle. He was not wearing a safety device. Montesi was transported via air ambulance to CoxHealth South for treatment of his injuries.
Just over two hours later, a motorcycle vs. deer collision occurred on U.S. Highway 160 in Gainesville. Fifty-nine-year-old Robert D. Jeckstadt of Gainesville sustained minor injuries, but his Harley Davidson suffered extensive damage in the 9:30 p.m. accident.
