Lockeroom picks up sweep at Batesville

The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team had a good day on the road Saturday as they picked up a sweep at Batesville.

The mercy rule was invoked in the fifth inning of the opener as the Lockeroom pounded Batesville 12-2. Tucker Koester pitched all five innings and struck out eight batters for the win. Carter Graves led the Mountain Home offense with two hits and two RBIs, and Gage Harris and Tyler Guffey each added two hits.

The second game was called after the third inning as the Lockeroom shut out Batesville 8-0. Graves was credited with the victory after pitching all three innings and recording three strikeouts. Reed Ellison led Mountain Home with two hits and three RBIs, and Harris provided two hits and drove in two runs.
