Kevin Ray Willis
A 43-year-old Mountain Home man faces drug and theft charges after allegedly stealing prescription drugs while working in the victim’s home.
Kevin Ray Willis is charged with obtaining a controlled substance by fraudulent practices, a felony, along with misdemeanor charges of theft of property and possession of a scheduled IV controlled substance, both misdemeanors.
According to court documents, Willis was working in the residence in early February when the victim noticed that 90 half-a-milligram alprazolam (Xanax) tablets were missing and advised the company Willis worked for of the theft.
The company’s owner confronted Willis, who allegedly claimed he had stolen two Xanax pills. Willis was immediately terminated from his position, with the owner providing written statements to authorities.
Charged were brought against Willis in March, with Willis then refusing to answer his phone and could not be located by law enforcement. Willis was arrested Friday when he was a passenger in a vehicle that underwent a routine traffic stop on Buzzard Roost Cutoff. He remains jailed in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
