Pendergrass had served the association – as well as various other state and national associations – in a number of executive roles throughout her career.

The honor was presented by Sara Dickey, secretary of the association’s executive board. Dickey says, “She kept us in line,” she said of Pendergrass. “We are missing her. We miss her wit, her wisdom, her expertise, but most of all we miss her friendship.”
