
While some high school students are taking some time off before classes begin next month, and others have summer jobs, a group of student athletes are preparing for another season of competition. The Mountain Home High School football team has had several activities during the offseason, and there are still more to come.
Bombers’ head coach Steve Ary says one of things they have been doing is attending multiple team camps.

A year ago, Mountain Home’s team and coaches were limited to what they could do because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ary says the Bombers are way ahead compared to the same time last year.

Mountain Home’s thud camp with West Plains, Thayer and Mountain Grove will start at 9 a.m. Thursday at Bomber Stadium, and the public is invited to attend. The Bombers are also planning to go to a team camp in approximately two weeks at Branson.
The team is also preparing for an auction next month as its biggest fundraiser. Ary says there’s a meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening for anyone looking to assist in getting the project started.
