After four-days off for the all-star break, the St. Louis Cardinals return to action Friday night at home when they host the San Franciso Giants to begin a seven-game homestand.
St. Louis is tied with Chicago for third place in the National League Central Division, eight games behind the Milwaukee Brewers.
Adam Wainwright (7-5, 3.58 ERA) gets the start for the Cardinals while the Giants counter with Kevin Gausman (9-3, 1.73 ERA).
