The recent surge in COVID-19 cases across North Central Arkansas and Southern Missouri has resulted in the implementation of limited safety measures by the City of Mountain Home.
Saturday night’s Baxter Summer Concert Series performance by the Steel Woods will require all those in attendance to undergo a temperature check at the gate. The city has clearly marked visual cues for social distancing at all vendor locations, including at food services and entrances.
Mountain Home mayor Hillrey Adams says areas in the park have been marked off for people to sit in groups while watching the concert.
Adams adds, “There’s no mask mandate, but people should do what makes them feel comfortable. We recommend people take advantage of the spaciousness of the park to spread out and reduce contact with people outside of their group.”
Hand sanitizer will be available at various points around the venue.
Temperature checks have resumed at the city pool, with admittance denied to any patron with a fever of 100.3 degrees or above. Those that attend the pool multiple times per day will be required for temperature checks each time.
