A Mountain Home man last arrested in April when a Baxter County sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a male yelling at and threatening a female entered a guilty plea to the charges against him and was sentenced to five years in prison during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the deputy made contact with 40-year-old Kevin Beck as he was attempting to leave the scene. Initially, the deputy took Beck into custody on an outstanding warrant. However, when the deputy searched Beck, he found a black pouch holding a set of digital scales, three syringes and two plastic bags containing materials suspected of being methamphetamine and cocaine.
The state dismissed a petition filed to revoke Beck’s probation from a 2018 drug-related case.
