
The Mountain Home High School golf teams finished the first athletic event of the school year by hosting the final round of the Ultimate Auto Group High School Invitational Tuesday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club. The Bombers and Lady Bombers both finished third in the tournament.
Mountain Home’s boys were led by runner-up Ripken Finley with a two-day total of 161. He finished five strokes back of medalist Brant Fowler of Shiloh Christian. Also for the Bombers, Gaige Chaney was fourth with a 165, Duncan Conly shot a 182, and Ryder McClain and Chase Berwald both ended up with 200.
Mountain Home’s team total was 702. Shiloh Christian won the boys’ side at 672, Harrison ended up second at 693, and Greenwood was fourth at 744.
Greenwood won the girls’ title, and Harrison edged out the Lady Bombers for second place. Individually for Mountain Home, Reagan Webb had a two-day total of 175, and Ella Brashears ended up with 184. Greenwood’s Hallie Jones was the medalist with a 153.
