Theodore J. Cheever
A sex offender living in Mountain Home charged with violating registration requirements appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.
Thirty-two-year-old Theodore J. Cheever pled guilty to not reporting the loss of his job and was sentenced to four years probation.
As a registered sex offender, Cheever is required to make law enforcement aware of changes in his life, including moving to a new address or his employment status.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Cheever was terminated from his job after he is alleged to have harassed two fellow employees.
The two employees provided investigators with statements and messages they received from Cheever.
In addition to violating sex offender registration requirements, Cheever was also charged with harassment, a Class A Misdemeanor stemming from the content of messages and statements he is alleged to have made to his fellow employees.
Cheever was required to register after being convicted of two counts of 2nd sexual assault in late 2008.
He was alleged to have had sexual contact with two 13-year-old females.
Yellville attorney Ben Gibson represented Cheever.
