Cardinals host Detroit Tuesday night

After having Monday night off, the St. Louis Cardinals return to action Tuesday night with the start of a two-game series at home against Detroit.

The Redbirds are 63-60 and trail Milwaukee by 12 games in the National League Central, but are only 4 1/2 games out in the wild card standings. The Tigers are 60-66 and also 12 games out in the American League Central.

Jack Flaherty (9-1) gets the start for the Cardinals while Detroit sends Casey Mize (6-6) to the hill.

Fist pitch is at 6:45 with the Ameren Total Access pregame show at 5:50 on KTLO-AM.
