MHHS football team looks to make adjustments after benefit game

The Mountain Home High School football team is using its recent benefit game at Jonesboro as an opportunity to make adjustments before its season starts next week. The Bombers fell to the Golden Hurricane 49-26 at Cooksey-Johns Stadium.

Mountain Home head coach Steve Ary says Friday was a disappointing night for the Bombers.

Ary says he believes it was good for the team to play Jonesboro in the benefit game. He says Mountain Home will see similar teams when they get into the 6A-West.

While a number of teams in Arkansas will begin their season this week, the Bombers won’t open their season until the following week. Ary says he will use the extra time to make the necessary adjustments before they meet Harrison.

Mountain Home’s game with the Goblins is scheduled for September 3 at 7 p.m. at Bomber Stadium.
