Basketball makes up the local Monday schedule, as Mountain Home’s three junior high girls’ teams will be back in front of the home crowd to take on Harrison. The seventh grade game tips off at 4:30 followed by the eighth grade and freshman contests.

Elsewhere on the junior high level, Cotter travels to Flippin, Ozark Mountain makes the trip to Valley Springs, Marshall hosts Clinton, and Bergman heads to Jasper.
The first round of the Izard County Invitational Basketball Tournament continues at Izard County High School in Brockwell. A junior high doubleheader between Salem and Cave City begins at 4 with the girls’ game. Calico Rock’s senior girls meet Highland at 6:30, and their senior boys face Salem at 7:45.
Two area boys’ teams will square off in the Anstaff Bank Green Forest Holiday Tournament. Yellville-Summit and Lead Hill are scheduled for 7.
Dora will play its opener in the Mansfield Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament. The Falcons will be paired with Willow Springs at 7:30.
In other high school basketball, Norfork travels to Deer, Bakersfield’s girls entertain Thayer, and Timbo is home against Abundant Life.
