In basketball action Wednesday night, the Izard County Tournament continued at Izard County High School.
In the senior boys’ game, the host Cougars held off Highland 64-58. Gunner Gleghorn had 26 points for Izard County, and Denton Reiley added 23 points.
In the senior girls’ contest, Rural Special topped Cave City 56-41. Meri Morgan led the Lady Rebels with 21 points, while Emma Goins scored 18.
Highland defeated Calico Rock 54-12 in the junior boys’ game.
The junior girls’ contest saw Highland topping Calico Rock 46-32.
