MHHS basketball teams lose 2 more in Cabot Christmas Classic

The Mountain Home High School basketball teams suffered another pair of losses in the Cabot Christmas Classic on Friday.

After a delay due to a tornado warning, the Lady Bombers ended up falling to Pulaski Academy 50-43. The game stayed close from start to finish. Mountain Home had the lead at the break, but the Lady Bruins outscored the Lady Bombers 32-22 in the second half to pull away for the seven-point win.

Amelia Rucker led Mountain Home with 10 points. Taylor Hernandez scored 17 points for P.A., and Riley Smith added 12.

The Lady Bombers fall to 1-6 on the season.

Mountain Home’s boys did not fare any better, as their last game in the classic was a 67-46 loss to Nettleton. The Raiders jumped out early with a 24-11 lead at the end of the opening period. The second half was fairly even, as Nettleton went to win by 21.

The Bombers were led by Luke Proctor with 10 points. For the Raiders, Davares Whitaker had 23 points, J.T. Turner finished with 13, and Brandon Anderson chipped in 12.

Mountain Home drops to 1-6 on the year, and its next game will Tuesday at Harrison.
