
Saturday’s basketball schedule includes the Mountain Home High School girls playing their final game in the Cabot Christmas Classic. The Lady Bombers wrap up the event by meeting Nettleton.
Mountain Home is 1-6 on the season. The Lady Bombers are coming off a loss to Pulaski Academy on Friday.
Tip-off at Panther Arena is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday’s game will be on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com and the Bomber Sports Network channel on YouTube.
Several girls’ teams will gather in Flippin for the Billy Ply Classic. Thayer and Kingston get underway at 10 a.m., Cotter meets Mountain View at 11:30, the host Lady Bobcats face Harrison at 1, Har-Ber takes on Strafford, Missouri, at 2:30, Norfork plays Bentonville West at 4, and Bergman will be paired with Lamar at 5:30.
Gainesville’s girls will compete for seventh place in the Norwood Lady Pirate Invitational Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs face Rush at 2.
The Izard County Invitational Basketball Tournament will come to an end at Izard County High School in Brockwell with its championship games. The junior high games between Izard County and Melbourne start at 4 with the girls, Salem’s senior girls face Melbourne at 6:30, and the Melbourne senior boys play Cave City at 7:45.
Two area schools will take part in the North Arkansas College Boys Basketball Border War Shootout. Lutie meets the New School at 12:30, and Valley Springs takes on Spokane, Missouri, at 8.
