A woman is accused of getting into her sister’s residence with a baseball bat, leading to a fight between the two. Fifty-two-year-old Angela Conley was arrested earlier this month on felony counts of residential burglary and criminal mischief and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and third-degree domestic battery.
According to the probable cause affidavit, two Baxter County deputies responded to a call of a fight in progress at a residence on County Road 13 and made contact with Conley. She reportedly said she was fighting with her sister because “she stole my watch and wouldn’t give it back to me.”
One of the deputies asked Conley to sit in his patrol vehicle while he and the other deputy spoke to the victim. As the deputies were inside, they reportedly heard glass breaking. They went back out and allegedly found Conley using a large rock to break the windshield and a window of the victim’s SUV. She was soon placed under arrest.
According to the investigation findings, Conley resided across the road. She allegedly walked over with a baseball bat and used it to beat on the doors and outside walls of her sister’s residence. The victim claims Conley also broke a window with the bat.
Conley allegedly entered the residence, fought with her sister and sprayed her in the face with pepper spray. There was also reportedly evidence of pepper spray on a broken window and both doors.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center, treated for minor injuries and released. Damage to the residence and the vehicle totaled in excess of $1,000.
Conley is currently free on a bond of $25,000.
