SEDALIA, Mo. (AP) — Three male juveniles have been taken into custody in connection with the shooting death of a Sedalia man, police said.
The juveniles. ages 15 and 16, are suspects in the death of 32-year-old Tylar Simon on Dec. 10 at his home, police said Wednesday.
Police believe the juveniles went to the home to burglarize it and were confronted by Simon and another man. Simon was shot during a scuffle and the other man was assaulted.
At least one of the suspects was familiar with the home and the residents, The Sedalia Democrat reported.
Two of the suspects were taken into custody during the weekend and the third was found in Kansas City on Wednesday.
Detectives believe one or all of the juveniles are connected to three burglaries that occurred at Sedalia businesses in November.
