A Mountain Home woman with a maze of drug cases in both Baxter and Boone counties appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
Thirty-five-year-old Felicia Dawn Anderson was caught with drugs in her purse in January and April of 2019 and in her apartment the next month.
She was charged with possession of drugs and paraphernalia used to ingest drugs in all three cases.
A petition to revoke her 72-month probation in one of the Baxter County cases was filed in mid-October based on new drug charges Anderson picked up in Boone County.
Anderson appeared on a video hookup from the Baxter County jail Thursday and pled not guilty to the allegations in the revocation petition. A hearing was set for Jan. 10.
She wanted to be let out of jail on her own recognizance, so she could “take care of my children,” but Circuit Judge John Putman said no. “The allegations in the revocation petition are inconsistent with someone who is serious about taking care of children,” Judge Putman told Anderson.
A $3,000 cash bond was set for Anderson.
While Anderson was locked in the Baxter County jail in an earlier case, she requested the court allow her to get out of jail, because she was not receiving the medication she needed.
Fourteenth Judicial District Deputy Prosecutor Kerry Chism opposed the request. He told the court Anderson, “May not think her problem is meth, but it is.”
Anderson has undergone mental evaluations in cases in Baxter and Boone counties. She was found fit to proceed in both instances.
