Woman injured, man charged with DWI after 1-vehicle accident

A one-vehicle accident Saturday night in Ozark County resulted in injuries to a Missouri woman and charges against a Gainesville man.

Twenty-one-year-old Makayla Farris of Mansfield was transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, and 19-year-old Devon Tabor was cited for driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and no seat belt.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Tabor was the driver of a vehicle on Third Street in Gainesville, and Farris was his passenger. Tabor’s vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a telephone pole and a tree near the intersection with Baker Street. Tabor and Farris were reportedly not wearing seat belts.

Tabor’s vehicle had extensive damage in the 10:40 p.m. accident.
