
The Cotter School Board approved the hiring of Jamie Rodgers a volleyball coach when it met in regular session last week.
With all members present, the board heard from Craig Boone and Richard Johnson on the district’s building project.
Superintendent Vanessa Thomas Jones presented the board with a slate of petitions for student transfers into the district, which included one from Flippin, eight from Mountain Home and two from Yellville-Summit. She also presented a list of three from Cotter petitioning for transfer to Flippin and 18 to Mountain Home. All were approved.
The retirement of fixed assets report was also approved covering a bus, a refrigerator, a mower, three Macbooks and a Dell computer.
The enrollment report reflects 722 students, with 370 in the elementary school and 352 at the high school.
