One person was treated for smoke inhalation and later released following a residential fire Wednesday afternoon at 99 Pioneer Trail Lane near Mountain Home. A Mountain Home Fire Department spokesperson says the unidentified individual was not a firefighter.

According to the fire department’s report, the alarm came in just after 4. Fifteen personnel arrived at the residence owned by Daniel on Don Milde with two engine companies, a ladder company, a rescue unit and two support vehicles. Four others were on standby.

The fire’s origin was reportedly in the kitchen. The residence sustained 30% fire damage, 80% smoke damage and 75% water damage.

Personnel were on the scene for just over an hour-and-a-half. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
