Most roads have cleared following Thursday’s snowfall, but there may still be some areas where motorists will want to proceed with caution.  At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, a half-inch of snow was recorded, melting down to .09″ in the precipitation gauge.

A Mountain Home Police Department dispatch spokesperson says the roads throughout the city are mainly clear. Sheriff’s dispatch for Baxter, Marion and Ozark counties all say the main roads are clear, and they haven’t received any reports on the county roads.

IDriveArkansas.com shows the Twin Lakes Area’s major highways are clear. On the Missouri Department of Transportation’s traveler information map, Missouri Highway 5 is shown to be mostly clear throughout Ozark and Douglas counties, and U.S. Highway 160 is mostly clear from Gainesville traveling east through Howell County. Also in Howell County, Missouri Route K remains partly covered from West Plains and continuing west to its junction with County Road 6470, and Missouri Route CC is partly covered from West Plains and continuing west to its junction with Missouri Route AD.

Several area schools will be closed on Friday. For closings, cancellations and road conditions, go to ktlo.com/cancellations.
