Ernest Adkins is announcing his candidacy for District 10 justice of the peace seat on the Baxter County Quorum Court.
Adkins says he will be a candidate on the Republican ballot for the May 2022 primary election.
Adkins is a graduate of Yellville-Summit High School, a U.S. Navy veteran and has lived in Baxter County for the last six years.
He was elected to Gassville City Council in 2020 and serves on the water/sewer and personnel committees.
He and his two children live in Gassville.
Adkins is running to replace JP Kevin Litty who has announced he will not be seeing reelection to the quorum court.
