A fourth candidate is announcing his intentions to seek the position of Baxter County judge in the May Republican Primary.

Shannon Feliccia of Midway is the latest to join the race, with incumbent Judge Mickey Pendergrass having announced he will not seek reelection to the position.

Feliccia is a graduate of Mountain Home High School and is employed with the Baxter County Road and Bridge Department as a road grader operator. He has served in the military for 25 years, as a civil engineer, with his tenure split between the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army. He has been deployed seven times, including to the Middle East and to South America. He says the combination gives him a wide range of experience.

Feliccia says he is familiar with budgets, scheduling and management of manpower and equipment.

He says as Baxter County judge, he will work to improve relationships between county employees and the public and increase the morale of Baxter County.

Feliccia has been married to his wife, Jamie Jo, for 30 years. They have two sons and two grandchildren.
