The Arkansas Department of Health has lifted the boil water order issued in the city of Cotter one week ago. The department’s website indicates the order was lifted Thursday afternoon shortly after 2. Customers of Cotter Waterworks no longer are required to boil their drinking water.
The order was enacted after a water main break occurred at the intersection with U.S. Highway 62/412 and Harding Boulevard (U.S. Highway 62B) Jan. 12.
