Work begins on 2 MH parks

The beginning stages of Mountain Home’s Hickory Park inclusive playground have started taking shape.  In December, city officials received word Mountain Home had receive $225,000 to assist in the development of an inclusive playground, seating for an existing amphitheater, barrier-free restrooms, horseshoe pits and associated barrier-free parking and access at Hickory Park.


Inclusive playgrounds provide access and promote play among children of all abilities and are intended to develop the entire community.

In accordance with the park improvement project, Keller Park is receiving turf on all of the softball fields, as well as new upgrades to different areas of the parks.




The work is expected to be completed by the beginning of the 2022 Youth Recreational Softball season.
