MH girls finish 3rd, boys end up 4th in Russellville swim meet

The Mountain Home High School swim teams took part in a meet at Russellville on Monday.

The Lady Bombers, missing two athletes, ended up finishing second to the host Lady Cyclones. Maddie Lynch won the 200-yard freestyle and was second in the 100-yard butterfly in school record time, breaking the old record set by Erin Lewis in February 2004. Joia Traver won the 100-yard freestyle.

Mountain Home’s boys, minus three key swimmers, finished fourth by a point behind Siloam Springs. Batesville took the win. Aidan Wilson finished second in the backstroke, Will Burns got a state time in the 200-yard individual medley, and Caleb Due got a state time in the 100-yard breaststroke.
