Two area boil orders have been lifted, according to the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH), while a third remains in place. Boil orders for Calico Rock Waterworks and Parthenon Water Association were lifted as of Wednesday afternoon.

The boil order for Calico Rock Waterworks in Izard County had been in effect from the area of Red Lake Road west to Boswell road. Officials announced water samples taken on Monday have been found “safe,” and a satisfactory disinfectant level has been established throughout the distribution system.

The order was issued Monday due to a water line break.

The boil order for Parthenon Water Association in Newton county had been in effect for customers along Murray Road. The order was issued Sunday due to a water line break.

The ADH website indicates a boil order for the entire Fifty Six Waterworks system remains in place.

The order for the system in Stone County was issued Jan. 31 due to a construction-related break.
