As of Wednesday, active COVID-19 cases in Baxter County and hospitalizations at Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) are down considerably from last week, continuing a downward trend, according to hospital officials.

There are currently 24 COVID-19 patients admitted at BRMC, with seven in ICU and five on ventilators.

BRMC reports there are 269 active COVID-19 cases in Baxter County, as of Wednesday.

Hospital officials say the Baxter Regional COVID-19 Resource Line continues to be available at (870) 508-7001 as an easy way to access all coronavirus services using just one phone number. Anyone in the community may call to schedule an appointment for a COVID-19 test, vaccine, booster, donate items for the staff, make a monetary donation to Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation, or reach the COVID-19 Hotline.

Officials also ask residents to consider a COVID-19 vaccine, if they are eligible.
