MH mayor to deliver state of the city address

Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams will deliver the sate of the city address when the city council meets in regular session Thursday evening at 6. The meeting was postponed one week due to inclement weather.

The council is also facing an 11-item agenda.

Three of the items of business are requests for zoning amendments presented by Mountain Home attorney Ted Sanders. A fourth will be presented by Building Inspector Greg Ifland.

The council will also consider an ordinance expanding and amending the city’s job classification and compensation plan “in order to enhance efficient management within the departments…”

An ordinance will be consider for a special use permit to allow a mobile food unit in a flood plain.

Three requests are on the agenda regarding waiving competitive bidding and authorizing purchases.

The final item for consideration is an agreement for professional services with Garver Engineering for two projects in the Water & Sewer Department.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers of the Mountain Home Municipal Building.
