The U.S. Forest Service is prescribing burns in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests. National forest fire managers are conducting a local burn in Baxter and Stone counties Monday.
One of the newest burns will be in the vicinity of Fifty-Six. According to the Forest Service, 1,323 acres are being burned in the Sylamore Ranger District.
