Saturday’s basketball schedule includes district play ending in Arkansas and beginning in Missouri.
The championships of the 1A-2 District Tournament will be decided in Shirley as two area teams face Greers Ferry West Side. Norfork’s girls take on the Lady Eagles at 5, and the Izard County boys play West Side at 6:15.
Western Grove’s girls will play for the title of the 1A-1 East District Tournament on their home floor. The Lady Bears will be paired with Kingston at 6.
The Mammoth Spring girls will be at Hillcrest Elementary School in Lynn for the championship game of the 1A-3 District Tournament. The Lady Bears will face the host Lady Screamin’ Eagles at 1.
Bergman’s boys head to Elkins for the final of the 3A-1 District Tournament. The Panthers take on the host Elks at 6.
Both of Harrison’s teams will play Farmington on the final day of the 4A-1 District Tournament. The boys’ third place game is scheduled for 3:30, and the girls’ title contest will follow at 5.
In Missouri, the Class 2, District 10 Tournament starts in Cabool. On the girls’ side, Bakersfield will be matched up with Plato at 10, Gainesville faces Seymour at 1. On the boys’ bracket, Bakersfield takes on Plato at 2:30, Gainesville plays Cabool at 4, and Dora goes up against Seymour at 5:30.
