Mountain Home High School’s basketball season ended on a rough note Saturday, as they were swept on Senior Day by Alma.

The Lady Bombers began by falling to the Lady Airedales 42-32. Early on, it appeared to be a contest of 3-pointers. All of Mountain Home’s field goals in the first half were behind the arc. Alma was up two at the break. In the second half, the Lady Airedales did a better job of crashing the boards. That combined with the Lady Bombers committing 19 turnovers pushed Alma to the 10-point victory.

Amelia Rucker led Mountain Home with 13 points. Halyn Carmack scored 12 for the Lady Airedales, and Jordan Gramlich added 10.

The Lady Bombers finish the season at 6-21 overall and 3-11 in the 5A-West. Alma ends up 11-15 and 4-10.

Mountain Home’s boys followed with a 39-32 loss to the Airedales. The Bombers struck first on a 3 by Dodge Harris, but that would be their only lead. When Alma went on top, they kept the lead for good. The Airedales built a double digit advantage. Mountain Home came back and cut the margin to one, but they would get no closer.

No one was in double figures for the Bombers. Alma was led by Hunter McAlister with 15 points, and Daniel Howard chipped in 11.

Mountain Home wraps up the year at 3-23 overall and 1-13 in the league. The Airedales finish at 5-15 and 3-11.
