In Little Rock Tuesday, a race for Arkansas House District 4 developed with the filing of Republican Bruce Emerson of Marion County. Emerson is challenging incumbent Rep. Jack Fortner of Yellville for the seat.
District 4 covers all of Marion County and a portion of Baxter.
On Monday, a three-way race for House District 3 developed with the filing of Republican Tom Bryant of Baxter County. Bryant will face fellow Republican Stetson Painter of Mountain Home in the primary. Libertarian Steve Parsons of Lakeview has also filed for the seat.
District 3 covers northern Baxter County and western Fulton County.
