Before the rain hit Thursday, one area high school baseball team was able to get its regional tournament opener completed. Mammoth Spring watched its season come to an end in the Class 1A Region 2 Tournament at Marked Tree. The Bears fell to Greers Ferry West Side 18-2.
The Norfork baseball team’s game against Marked Tree was suspended because of rain in the fourth inning with the Panthers leading 4-1.
The Mammoth Spring softball team’s game at Marked Tree was suspended as well. When the game resumes Friday, the Lady Bears are leading Shirley 5-2 in the top of the fourth inning.
