A Yellville man has succumbed to his injuries after his vehicle hit a tree late Friday afternoon. Seventy-year-old Lawrence Metz was pronounced dead at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Metz was traveling on Arkansas Highway 14 in Yellville. His vehicle reportedly exited the roadway and collided with the tree.
The weather was sunny, and the road was dry at the time of the 4:39 p.m. accident.
