
The Arkansas State Police is investigating the apparent homicide of a Clarendon woman. The body of 26-year-old Lilee Smith was discovered early Saturday afternoon by a family member.
According to the state police, Clarendon officers were called to a residence on Guydon Street around 12:45 of the reported death. They later requested special agents from the state police to investigate. The agents believe Smith was shot Friday night.
Smith’s body has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock. The state medical examiner will determine an approximate time of death and provide case agents with more information about the manner and cause of death.
The investigation and search for a suspect continues.
