According to Baxter County and Circuit Clerk Canda Reese an error has been caught on the ballot for voters who live in precinct 6-2-1, which includes the area west of U.S. Highway 62.
The issue was caught Wednesday afternoon. Ballots have shown District 3 representative candidates Stetson Painter and Tom Bryant in the place where District 4 representative candidates Jack Fortner and Bruce Emerson should be. This could affect up to 30 ballots that have already been cast.
The issue has been corrected, and the correct media for the voter booths will arrive later this week. Voters who reside in precinct 6-2-1 will receive a paper ballot until the corrected media arrives, once the media arrives, voters will be able to return to the voting machine.
