The Mountain Home Hurricanes swim team had a successful season opener at Pocahontas on Saturday. The Hurricanes defeated the host team, Searcy and two teams from Jonesboro.
New team records were set by Parker Kohler among 8-year-olds in the 25-yard freestyle, 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 25-yard backstroke, Caleb Due in 200-yard freestyle for ages 13 and 14 and Callie Kohler 100-yard breaststroke for ages 11 and 12.
