Kilcrease, Gardner, South, Whitworth claim ASGA Jr. Amateur titles in Mountain Home

The 2022 Arkansas State Golf Association Junior Amateur Championship Tournament wrapped up at Big Creek Golf & Country Club in Mountain Home Tuesday.

Winning the girls’ title was Grace Kilcrease of Springdale. She shot 66 on the second day to finish 11 under par, one stroke ahead of day one leader Mackenzie Lee of Little Rock. Harrison’s Landrey King finished 13th.

In the boys’ 14-18 age division, Zachary Gardner and Rhett South, both of Fayetteville, shared the title with a four under par, the only players to finish the two days under par. From the area, Roby Cooper of Melbourne tied for 30th at 11 over par, Mountain View’s Luke Fletcher and Carter Manry of Melbourne tied for 45th, Elijah Wilkes of Franklin finished 48th and Christian Cloyd of Mountain Home was 45th.

In the boys’ 12-13 age division, Garrison Whitworth was the winner after shooting even par.
