Baxter Quorum Court meets Tuesday, agenda includes Sheriff’s budget and purchase of vehicles

The Baxter County Quorum Court meets Tuesday for regular session at 6 in the evening in the 2nd floor courtroom of the courthouse.

Dr. Stephen Vester will give a presentation from the Baxter County Airport Commission.

There will be a third reading of an ordinance adopting a new personnel policy manual for Baxter County employees.

Ordinances to be discussed will include the 2022 Sheriff’s Department budget, funding of two Sergeants positions in the jail, purchasing two vehicles for the Sheriff’s Department and the purchase of a new generator for the Sheriff’s Department administration building.

Resolutions confirming the appointments of Commissioners to fire departments are also included on the agenda. The following Commissioners appointments will be confirmed; Chris Arroyo to the Henderson Volunteer Fire Department, Richard Hytinen and Sonia Nelson to the Clarkridge Fire Department.

A resolution confirming the appointment of Martha C. Frazier to the Baxter County Board of Equaliztion concludes the resolutions set for the evening.
