The 2022 Chuck Morton ASGA Junior Stroke Play Tournament got underway Thursday at Big Creek Golf & Country Club in Mountain Home.
There is a three-way tie for the lead in the boys’ 16-18 age group after the first round. Gray Manning, Zachary Knight and Conner Guthrie all shot a two-under par 70. Conner Goens is one shot off the lead.
In the boys’ 14-15 age group, Adam Squires has the lead at two-over 74. Terrance Kempson trails by two shots.
Leading the boys’ 12-13 age group is Cody Cormican at four-over par, one shot ahead of Garrison Whitworth.
Landon Nichols leads the boys’ 10-11 age category.
In the girls’ 16-18 age division, Lauren Pleiman has a two-shot lead after firing a one-under par 71. Isabel Chaidez and Maggie Huett are both two shots back.
Leading the girls’ 12-13 age group is Isabella Curtis.
The final round of the tournament will be played Friday.
