
Thursday afternoon was the first time in almost 10 years a triple digit temperature was recorded at KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home. On Friday, the century mark was reached for the second straight day with the high reaching 101 degrees.
The thermometer got to 100 degrees on Thursday. It’s the first time triple digits were recorded on back-to-back days since June 28-July 2, 2012. On June 28 that year, a high of 107 was recorded.
Friday’s high was three degrees shy of reaching the record. The current record for that date was 104, set back in 1936.
