COVID-19 has forced the Van Matre Senior Center to close temporarily. A senior center spokesperson says precautions are being taken with two employees testing positive and two more being sick.
Congregate meals are not being served, and transportation is unavailable. Meals on Wheels were delivered Monday, but the spokesperson says they will not be delivered Tuesday and Wednesday.
Currently, officials are looking to reopen the center on Thursday. The Van Matre Senior Center is located at Cooper Park in Mountain Home.
