Mountain Home PTO kickoff meeting to be held Tuesday

The fall general meeting of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) in Mountain Home will be held Tuesday at 5:30.PTO pairs with the Mountain Home School District to fill gaps in the classroom by getting parents involved during the school year.

Carrie Ramsey, President of PTO, and Codi Kanatzar, Vice President of PTO, recently joined MJ Haworth on Talk of The Town to discuss the changes being made to the organization this year.

Ramsey says the general meeting on Tuesday is going to be the kickoff of the year.

Dinner will be provided at 5:30 by First Security Bank.

Kanatzar says parent and guardian involvement is important for PTO. The meeting times have been changed to provide opportunity for involvement outside of regular school hours.

Once again, the kickoff meeting of PTO will be held Tuesday evening at 5:30 in the Mountain Home High School cafeteria.

The first fundraising opportunity for PTO will take place on Sept. 20 with a BINGO night beginning at 5:30. Prize donations are being accepted, to donate visit the PTO Facebook page.
