The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) has reinstalled the courtesy dock at the Cranfield Access on Norfork Lake.
Officials state the steepness of the boat ramp and the moderately sloping parking lot are not conducive to having a courtesy dock at all water levels at the Cranfield Access.
With the rising lake level in May, AGFC staff removed the courtesy dock from the access due to the dock becoming a safety hazard as well as impeding access.
AGFC staff reinstalled the courtesy dock during the week of July 25 as the water level had receded to 560 feet, at that elevation, the lake level is said to have reached near the top of the boat ramp which meant the courtesy dock could function as intended.
