The Cardinals are 63-51 and their lead in the National League Central is two games over Milwaukee after the Brewers lost to the Dodgers Monday night. The Rockies are 51-66 and they are 30 1/2 games behind Los Angeles in the National League West.
Carlos Quintana (4-5) starts for St. Louis while Colorado counters with Kyle Freeland (7-8).
