
A female is in custody on accusations of demanding money and making a bomb threat at a bank inside Walmart in Mountain Home. The unidentified suspect was located near Calico Rock Tuesday afternoon and transported to Mountain Home.
According to Mountain Home Police Chief Eddie Griffin, the female arrived at the Walmart branch of First Security Bank around 1:30. She allegedly made a statement about wanting money and indicated there was a bomb. The suspect was reportedly given the money, and she left.
Chief Griffin says his department was soon notified of the alleged incident. The suspect was found nearly an hour-and-a-half later and taken into custody.
A spokesperson for First Security Bank says no one at the branch was injured in the incident. More details are expected at a later time.
