After falling behind by 28 points in the third quarter, Mountain Home put together a second half rally, but it came up short in a 49-39 loss. Despite the defeat, it was a big game for Bombers’ running back Jacob Chenoweth who amassed four touchdown runs.

Mountain Home cut the lead to 14-7, after converting a fumble into points on Chenoweth’s first score of the night.

The sophomore running back would add another T.D. before halftime, but two long plays, one covering 80 yards and another going for 67 yards, gave the Raiders a 28-14 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, Nettleton pushed the lead to 42-14.

But the Bombers never gave up and started their comeback. Chenoweth scored his third and fourth touchdowns of the night and Chris Hubbard added a rushing score to pull Mountain Home to within 42-33.

Nettleton answered with a touchdown pass and Mountain Home added a late touchdown pass from Brady Barnett to Anthony Milbourne.

Chenoweth finished the night with four touchdowns and 147 yards on 30 carries. Barnett had 108 yards on 16 carries, plus 153 yards in the air with one T.D.

The Bombers had 409 yards offense while the Raiders finished with 498.
